The First Musketeer 2014

Produced on a modest budget of less than £20,000, this British mini web series, initially broadcast on YouTube, offers an original and intimate retelling of Dumas’s mythical characters.

A prequel to Dumas’s story that explores the youth of Alexandre Dumas’s famous musketeers, some six years before d’Artagnan’s arrival.

The series was supported by crowdfunding and filmed in the south of France.
